This Privacy Policy describes how 8Kilo ApS ("8Kilo", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the 8Kilo Bundle Discounts app (the "App") for Shopify. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who we are

2. What the App does

The App lets merchants create automatic bundle discounts in their Shopify store. When a customer purchases a defined set of product variants together, a discount is applied automatically at checkout. The App's discount logic runs within Shopify's checkout and discount infrastructure.

3. What data we collect

The App is designed to collect as little data as possible. Specifically, the App stores:

• Shopify session data. When you install the App, Shopify provides an authentication session (including a store identifier and an access token) that allows the App to operate on your store. This is stored so the App can function across requests.

The App does not collect, store, or process:

• Customer personal data (names, email addresses, shipping addresses, payment details)
• Order contents or order history
• Any end-customer information

Bundle configurations (the product variants and discount values you define) are stored by Shopify as part of your discount, within Shopify's own infrastructure - not in a separate 8Kilo database.

4. How we use data

We use the Shopify session data solely to:

• Authenticate the App with your store
• Enable the App to read product and discount information needed to configure bundle discounts
• Operate the bundle discount functionality you have set up

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the App's functionality. We do not sell or rent any data.

5. Data sharing

We do not share your data with third parties, except:

• Shopify, as the platform the App operates on, in accordance with Shopify's own terms and privacy practices.
• Infrastructure providers strictly necessary to host and run the App (see Hosting below), acting as our data processors.

We do not transfer data to third parties for their own purposes.

6. Hosting and data location

The App is hosted on Railway. The App's server and database are located in the EU West region (Amsterdam, Netherlands). Your data is stored and processed within the European Union.

7. Data retention and deletion

We retain Shopify session data only for as long as the App is installed on your store. When you uninstall the App, the associated session data is removed.

The App subscribes to Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks and responds to:

• Customer data requests (customers/data_request) - as the App stores no customer personal data, we have no customer data to provide.
• Customer redaction (customers/redact) - as the App stores no customer personal data, there is no customer data to redact.
• Shop redaction (shop/redact) - upon shop redaction, any remaining store-related data held by the App is deleted.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

As 8Kilo ApS is established in Denmark and hosts data within the EU, we process data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of data we hold, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at nb@8kilo.dk.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data the App handles, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our hosting infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
